Getting to Maio

Well January is nearly at its end and they still have not started on the airport here in Maio, yes granted there are some big diggers sitting on the runway but not one days work there yet, and now the barlovento is broke down and so Maio awaits a regular form of transport for on and off the Island. Can anyone shed some light on any transport that is going to be on a regular schedule here?. Well i can look at it on the bright side there always plenty of room on the long golden beaches.

Thanks for the information about the airport as we had been told by our agent the airport would be open next month. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
